The renowned Cat Chu mango variety originated in Cao Lanh. It is difficult to resist the Cat Chu mango due to its lack of fiber, intense perfume, rich sweetness, soft and chewy texture, and the sensation of the mango pieces melting in the mouth with the sweet flavor still remaining on the tip of the tongue.
This variety of mango is sometimes referred to as Ngu mango because, according to legend, it was formerly offered as a tribute to the Nguyen rulers.
